About Me

When it comes to my career, you could say I've taken the scenic route. First, I was a psychologist, doing research about and working with children and adults with autism.

Eventually, I realized my interests were too broad for a career in academia, so I made the switch to freelance journalism, writing about a wide range of topics — from disabilities to Jewish and Israeli life to parenting. My work has appeared in many national print and online publications, including  Tablet, The Jerusalem Report, and Scientific American

More recently, I discovered the magical world of audio. I realized that audio was my favorite way to tell stories, so that's what I started doing. I now produce a few different podcasts and even host one about my very favorite subject, public education.

I was born and raised in Montreal, graduated from Yale and went to the University of Michigan for graduate school. I now live in Bloomington, Indiana with my husband, two kids, and adorable dog Bamba. I really like cheese.
